Business IT is poised to take off again in 2018, as the UK’s IT sector looks to capitalize on the Brexit uncertainty and the UK economy is expected in a strong growth position this year.
The UK’s annual IT market revenue is expected at about £2.2 trillion in 2019, according to a report from IT firm Deloitte.
This is up by almost £500 million compared to last year, and will make up for the fact that the UK had a smaller IT sector in 2019.
According to Deloittes research, the UK IT market has grown by 3.5 percent this year, which is up from 1.6 percent growth in 2019 and 1.3 percent in 2018.
It is expected that this growth will continue into 2020 and beyond.
According, the IT sector is expected for growth of around 4 percent this coming year.
However, it is expected this will slow down in 2021, which will lead to a slight contraction in 2019 as the industry starts to recover from the economic downturn.
