The IT company founded by Stefano Sartori has been awarded a $1.3 billion contract to provide IT solutions to the state of New Jersey, according to a news release.
The company will operate as a subsidiary of the state’s Department of Financial Services, the release said.
Sartori, a native of Sicily who moved to New Jersey in 2004, has been a leader in the world of IT for more than 20 years.
He was awarded the World Economic Forum’s 2016 Innovation Award for his work in the field of innovation and digital transformation, the statement from the company said.
The New Jersey Department of Technology and Innovation awarded the contract to Stefansinis solutions provider, which will include software for financial and consumer applications, the company’s press release said, adding that the company has signed a definitive agreement to license its services to the New Jersey State Department of Business Services and the State of New York.
Sartsori and his team of more than 1,300 developers have been developing innovative technology solutions for financial institutions and consumers, including a new digital wallet, mobile banking and digital insurance services, according a press release from the department.
The news release also said the company plans to open a New York City office.
